Something for everyone at library

January is a very busy month at the Weyburn Public Library. They are hosting three different book clubs, "High Fidelity," "Water for Elephants" and "A Fire Upon the Deep." Copies of each book have been set aside and registration is required.

They are hosting three different book clubs, "High Fidelity," "Water for Elephants" and "A Fire Upon the Deep." Copies of each book have been set aside and registration is required.

They are also hosting two Armchair Travels series, both of which have been rescheduled from last year. The first travel of the year will be to the Arctic on Tuesday, January 11 at 7 p.m. and a "trip" to New Zealand will take place on Wednesday, January 26 at 2 p.m.

Monthly meetings of Chess Club and Conversation Circle continue on January 8 and 29, respectively.

The library will host Puppy Training Demonstrations by members of Prairie Animal Health Centre on Sunday, January 16 at 2 p.m.

There are some author readings in January. Terry Tuharsky will be stopping by on Thursday, January 20 at 6 p.m. Local writers will also showcase some material. On Tuesday, January 18 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. the library will host a Coffee House for local talent to read from their newest work and garner some recognition and feedback.

For families, the library will be holding a Read 'n' Play literacy session to increase reading skills through fun activities. This event takes place Thursday, January 27 at 6:30 p.m. Toddler Time begins again on Wednesday, January 12 at 10 a.m. and Preschool Story time begins on Friday, January 14 at 1 p.m.

The library is hosting free Jazz Dance classes from 4:45 to 5:15 p.m. on Tuesdays from January 11 to February 1. Kid's Korner continues on the January 13 and participants will make a Snowman Mug and will enjoy some Snowman Soup and an Edible Snowman.

On January 29, the PenPal Club will view "The Secret Garden" and discuss the book and the film.
