Inner Wheel of Weyburn is hosting their third annual Grandmothers for Grandmothers fundraising luncheon on Monday, October 18 at the Royal Canadian Legion. The cost of the noon-hour event is $25 per person and includes entertainment.

A raffle is being held in conjunction with the event for a handmade quilt, afghan and an antique-style clock. Tickets are $2 each or three for $5 and can be purchased at the luncheon or from Renee Marx.

Last year, the luncheon raised $8,768, which was used to assist grandmothers in Africa who are raising grandchildren orphaned by AIDS/HIV. The monies raised are forwarded to the Stephen Lewis Foundation as part of their Grandmothers campaign.

Tickets for the luncheon are available at Superior Office Products or by contacting Delaine Barber.
