New provincial pipeline legislation

The provincial government introduced The Pipelines Amendment Act in the legislature on Monday, replacing the Pipelines Act, which had been in place since 1998.

Feds approve two of three pipeline projects

The federal government announced the green light to two pipeline projects on Tuesday, but they have also rejected another. Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain expansion project and Enbridge Pipeline’s Line 3 replacement project will go ahead.

New president at SaskEnergy

SaskEnergy’s board of directors has announced the appointment of Ken From as their new president and chief executive officer (CEO), effective Jan. 1, 2017. From will take over the lead role from Doug Kelln, who announced his retirement this past May.
