Canadians across the country and around the world show their pride in their history, culture and achievements on July 1.
It's been a day of celebration, where many festivities are held across the country, since 1868 and Weyburn will be celebrating at the Weyburn Leisure Centre.
The festivities start at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Royal Canadian Legion at $5 per person.
At 10 a.m., the Legion Colour Guard will have the Canada Day Flag Ceremony with birthday cake provided by Prairie Sky Co-op from 10:30 a.m to 11 a.m.
The City of Weyburn is inviting swimmers into the outdoor pool from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. free of charge. There will be no swimming during the Flag Ceremony.
Signal Hill Arts Centre will be hosting a craft centre from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
A Barbeque will be offered by the City of Weyburn from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. which will be followed by more free swimming from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
At dusk, the City of Weyburn will show Canada Day out with a bang with fireworks at the Exhibition Grounds.
In case of adverse weather conditions, the celebration will be moved to the Royal Canadian Legion.
