The 23rd annual Minton-Gladmar Family Fall Fair will be taking place on Saturday, Oct. 2 in Minton. The fair will kick off at 8 a.m. with a breakfast at the Bordertown Saloon and will continue throughout the day, ending with a family dance at 8 p.m. in the community hall.

There will be an exhibit display in the community hall. For those who wish to enter a display, it must be in the hall and ready for judging by 9 a.m., as judging of the exhibits will begin shortly thereafter. There are many different classes for exhibits, some of which include vegetables, cereal grains, sewing, photography, and baking, just to name a few. The winners in each class will be named in the early afternoon, with an overall winner to be awarded at that time as well.

In addition to the exhibits in the community hall, there will also be a trade and craft sale taking place at Hibbard Equipment from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will include those who wish to promote their home-based businesses as well as those who wish to sell their homemade craft items.

Throughout the day, there will be various games and entertainment happening all over the town. The STARS Show Choir from the Weyburn Comp School will be performing at the hall in the afternoon as well as local talent, singer Karissa Hoffart. There will also be entertainment and games for children on Main Street which include a quad train, bike parade, and a tractor pull. In addition to the events on Main Street, there will be classic cars parked along the street for your viewing.

There will be a chicken supper occurring at Hibbard Equipment and an auction taking place immediately after the supper.

Admission to the event will be $5 for adults and $3 for those who are 10 and under. Admission to the dance is free with paid admission to the fair.
