Gordon F. Kells High School Cougar Corner - Teen council is busy

The Teen Council did a great job entertaining students last week with pre-holiday spirit activities.

The Teen Council did a great job entertaining students last week with pre-holiday spirit activities. Musical chairs, unwrap the frozen t-shirt competitions, obstacle courses, ginger bread house building, and shaving balloons were events that made the lunch breaks a lot of fun.

On Wednesday, Dec. 15th, interested grade 12 students attended an evening show of the Regina Globe Theatre's Christmas Musical Production Honk: The Ugly Duckling. The students enjoyed the outing and the show, though they did end up getting a bit wet in the front row.

Curling continues on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:30 - 5:00. Some curlers are coming one day and others are coming both days. There is a fee of $20 for the curling club. Curlers should turn in their fees to Mrs. Beaver. If there are students out there who want to curl, it's not too late to start!

After a very successful season last year, the GF Kells Drama Club is looking forward to starting up at the beginning of the New Year.

Along with the school, the Student Council is fundraising in order to purchase two virtual information signs. We are looking for sponsorship with the potential for advertising on these high tech signs. Anyone interested should contact Mr. Howe at the school.

The staff and students of G.F. Kells wish everyone a safe and festive holiday season.

Don't forget, students return to school on Thursday, January 6, 2011, which is a Day 6 in the cycle.
