Sandy Johnson and her family are hosting the ninth annual Jams Family Christmas Day Dinner. Sandy's husband Joel will join her in welcoming the many who have become like family to her and her girls after eight years of hosting this event.

Last year the dinner served 129 individuals who would otherwise have spent Christmas Day alone. Sandy and her daughters are hoping to 'pack' the Knox Hall this year so everyone can enjoy the day.

The dinner is open to anyone who will be spending Christmas Day alone. Whether you are a single parent, widowed, divorced, or your kids are spending Christmas with the in-laws, it is the wish of Sandy and her family that you would join them for Christmas Dinner.

The dinner takes place on Christmas Day at 1:00 p.m. at the Knox Hall, located on Second Street in Weyburn.

The meal is free of charge to anyone experiencing financial difficulties at this time of year. For those who are able, Sandy suggests a donation of eight dollars this year. All proceeds will be going to the Weyburn Wor-Kin-Shop Building Fund.

Anyone wishing to reserve a place at the Jams Christmas Dinner, wanting to help set up for the meal, or make a donation to help cover the costs can call Sandy at 842-6994 or Doreen at 842-3316 to leave a message. Either Sandy or Doreen will call back to confirm your requests.

Reservations will be accepted right up until Christmas Eve but early booking would be appreciated. Walk-ins and deliveries are also accepted. Anyone needing a ride can call the same number.
