Around 40 women volunteered to knit these bears, with around 150 knitted and crocheted bears collected so far, with more to be coming. The tea, held to collect the bears and honour those ladies who knitted them, was held on Wednesday afternoon in the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. First Marnie will ship these to Gail in Burlington, Ont., from where the team, Canadian Nurses for Africa, will leave for a medical mission in Kenya, Africa, in May.
