Lake Alma woman takes trip with family to Florida

Lake Alma (cpd) - Sylvia Thompson joined her daughter Doris and James Trobert and family and James's mother Kathy Trobert of Estevan, Greg and Sherry Trobert and family of Regina on Jan. 19 and they flew out of Minot, N.D.



Lake Alma (cpd) - Sylvia Thompson joined her daughter Doris and James Trobert and family and James's mother Kathy Trobert of Estevan, Greg and Sherry Trobert and family of Regina on Jan. 19 and they flew out of Minot, N.D., to Disney World in Florida. They spent until Jan. 31 there seeing the sights and all the fantasy of Disney World and also Cape Canaveral.

They returned to Estevan the evening of the 31st and Sylvia returned home on Feb. 1. She explained it as a trip of a lifetime. The weather was wonderful, with shorts being worn everyday. They were glad to return home to nice weather, not -30 with the wind chill, which certainly would have been a shock to the system.

Elaine Roysum spent from Jan. 30 to Feb. 3 at Oxbow with her daughter, Megan and James Fonstad and girls.

Valerie Storle has her grandson, Quinn Cain, of Nipawin staying with her while his mother, Bridget, is working on an oil rig at Alida. Bridget spends her days off from the rig with Quinn and her mom. On Feb. 3 she also had Daylee and Casey Storle spend the day as they had no babysitter.

Dolores Hagen visited with her mother, Juverna Marken, in Swift Current from Jan. 29 to 31.

Dustin and Venessa Storle of Weyburn gave birth to a baby girl on Dec. 9 at the Regina General Hospital. She has been named Bella Rae and is the first grandchild for Wayne and Mavis Storle. Maternal grandparents are Doug and Lorrie Ashworth of Oungre. Great-grandparents are Lorraine and Ray Ball of Penticton, B.C., and Betty Herlick of Tribune.

Lance and Kim Locken of Tribune had a seven-pound 15-ounce baby boy on Feb. 1 at Regina General Hospital. He has been named Cameron Lorne, and is a little brother for Kylan; he is another grandson for Dallas and Lori Locken of Tribune and great-grandson for Sam and Beverly Locken of Weyburn.

Wayne and Mavis Storle returned home on Feb. 1 from a trip to Edmonton where Wayne received medical treatment on Jan. 20 and then they travelled on to Penticton, B.C., where they visited with Wayne's mother, Lorraine and Ray Ball, and a host of other relatives including brothers and sisters.

Clare and Ida Offet traveled to Regina on Jan. 31 where they had lunch with Curtis and Deena Offet, Cael and Tahlaya, who were in the city for a medical appointment for Curtis, Craig and Charmaine Offet and Harold and Marg Blackmore. They also visited with her sister, Marie and Don Jacobson, and had a short visit with their granddaughter Janessa Bell before returning to Weyburn that evening.
