Legion Ladies Auxiliary marks 80th year

Some of the longest-serving members of the Weyburn Legion's Ladies Auxiliary gather to show off a special cake made for the group's 80th anniversary on August 12. The auxiliary was first formed on June 22, 1931, and received its charter on Aug. 12, 1931, with the first meetings held in members' homes or in the Holder Block, in the Club rooms located underneath the glass sidewalk.
