Local Pharmasave assists Canadian Diabetes Association with free presentation

The Canadian Diabetes Association has partnered with Medtronic and Pharmasave to bring founder of Connected in Motion, Chloe Steepe, to speak in Weyburn.

The Canadian Diabetes Association has partnered with Medtronic and Pharmasave to bring founder of Connected in Motion, Chloe Steepe, to speak in Weyburn.

Steepe, who is an outdoor educator, expedition guide and teacher, will speak about her experiences from being diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes to founding a not-for-profit organization which engages young adults living with diabetes in a process of experiential diabetes education, physical activity and outdoor adventure pursuits.

This presentation will also include information and a demonstration on insulin pump therapy, providing tips on how to improve blood glucose control and diabetes management.

The presentation is free and open to individuals living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, caregivers, healthcare professionals and members of the media.

The presentations will take place on Saturday, April 21 at the Weyburn Credit Union from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
