The search for a missing Weyburn man ended on a sad note, when his body was discovered in the early evening hours of June 14.
The search for 80-year-old Donald McCowan began two days previous, when his wife reported him missing on June 12.
Weyburn Search and Rescue made a plea to the community on June 13 to help locate the missing man, who was initially thought to have left his Windsor Street home around 5 a.m. wearing only his pyjamas.
Upon discovering McCowan, Weyburn Police released a statement that said they have no reason to treat the death as suspicious but will continue their investigation.
The Weyburn Police Service would like to thank the Weyburn Fire Department and everyone involved in the search efforts.
