The City of Weyburn held their first advance polls on Saturday afternoon, and will held another session of voting on Thursday, Nov. 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Sun Room at the Weyburn Leisure Centre.

The regular voting day will be on Monday, Nov. 9, with all polls in one place, the Cugnet Centre. Voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Two candidates were out campaigning together on Saturday afternoon, as Laura Morrissette and Ryan Janke combined their efforts to set up in a parking lot at the corner of Government Road and First Avenue.

They both had their children with them, and they handed out Halloween candy to anyone who stopped by to chat.

Meantime, the Weyburn Chamber held their candidates forum on Oct. 27, and the video of the full forum can be viewed on the Chamber’s website. Fourteen of the 16 candidates took part in the forum.
