One deceased in fatal collision north of Regina

The driver of a van that collided with a semi has been killed.

SOUTHEY — A Regina man died in a fatal collision Wednesday north of the city.

Around 4:15 p.m. July 13, Southey RCMP responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 6 approximately 13 kilometres north of Regina. A van travelling southbound and a semi unit hauling farm implements travelling northbound collided.

The 34-year-old male driver of the van from Regina died at the scene. The 62-year-old male driver of the semi did not report any injuries to police.

Southey RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of an RCMP collision reconstructionist. White Butte and Lumsden RCMP Detachments and the Ministry of Highways assisted on scene with helping to redirect traffic around the collision area.
