Police charge 15-year-old female with weapon assault

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of August 9 to 16: *On August 15, police received a report of a vehicle having had the windshield damaged by a pellet gun.

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of August 9 to 16:

*On August 15, police received a report of a vehicle having had the windshield damaged by a pellet gun.

*On August 13, police were called to a residence with a report of a youth having threatened other family members with a knife.As a result of the investigation, a 15-year-old female has been charged with assault with a weapon.

*On August 11, police investigated damage to a building at 30 12th Street NE.

*On August 9, the Weyburn Police Service was called to an incident in which a man was assaulted, sprayed with bear spray and beat with a bat.A 30-year-old Stoughton area male has been charged with aggravated assault.

*A number of thefts from vehicles are being investigated.Once again, the Weyburn Police Service would like to remind residents to lock their vehicles.Incidents like this are opportunistic and if the vehicle is locked it is passed by.

*A total of 122 calls for service were dealt with during this time period, including three charges of driving while over .08.
