Police investigate vehicle/pedestrian accident

Report from the Weyburn Police Service for the period of September 13 to 19: *On September 19, police were called to assist in locating a missing resident from a local group home. The resident was located a short time later.

*On September 19, police were called to assist in locating a missing resident from a local group home. The resident was located a short time later.

*Police were called to a local bar to investigate a damage complaint. The matter is under investigation.

*On September 17, police attended a domestic dispute in the city; the matter was resolved without incident.

*On September 16, a Weyburn male was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place, he was also found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

*Police arrested and charged a Weyburn male as a result of a complaint of theft from vehicles in the city. Several property items were recovered. The matter is still under investigation.

*On September 15, police attended a domestic disturbance; the matter was resolved without incident.

*On September 13, police received a call to investigate a door-to-door salesperson for carpet cleaning. Residents are reminded to call police if they feel a salesperson may not be legitimate or licensed.

*Police were called to investigate a complaint of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle. There were minor injuries reported. The matter is under investigation.

*Police were called to a break and enter to the Canadian Tire compound. Several thousand dollars in merchandise was stolen, including a dirt bike, a Mongoose bicycle, a purple quad and two snow blowers. Anyone with information regarding this theft is encouraged to call the Weyburn Police Service or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.

*Police arrested and charged a 37-year-old male from London, Ontario with driving while over .08.

*Weyburn Police Service members dealt with 186 occurrences during this reporting period, many of them alcohol related.
