The Provincial Disaster Assistance Program (PDAP) is a provincial program that provides financial assistance to businesses, non-profit organizations, individuals and certain others, or substantial loss or damage to essential, uninsurable property caused by specific natural disasters. The most common disasters are floods, tornadoes, plough winds or severe storms.

All communities and residents within the province are eligible for assistance provided they meet program criteria. The Program is intended to provide financial assistance to eligible individuals during the response and recovery phases following a disaster. PDAP is not intended to compete with private insurers or to provide full compensation to those who incur a substantial loss or damage to property.

A PDAP information session was held on May 25 at Captain's Hall. If you were unable to attend, please call 1-866-632-4033 or visit www.cpsp.gov.sk.ca if you have any questions about the program or need assistance filling out applications.
