The report this week covers the period of Jan. 28, 2011, to Feb. 3, 2011.

Beginning on Jan. 28, an alarm was received from a business in the community in Redvers.

Once the person responsible for the property arrived, they informed members that, while there had been a break-in, nothing had been taken.

A call from a concerned individual led members to search out a man who had been seen walking on the roadside in a state of dress unsuitable for the weather.

Members located the individual, and provided transportation back to the individual's home.

A call was received requesting assistance with an intoxicated individual who was waving an axe.

Members located the suspect, however no weapon was found.

The suspect was taken to cells until sober.

A single vehicle MVA left a vehicle require a tow to get out of a roadside ditch on highway 13 east of Arcola.

No one was hurt in the accident, and no charges have been laid.

A single-vehicle roll-over brought fire, ambulance and police response to the scene near Manor.

No action was taken against the driver, and there were no serious injuries.

Calls for the 29th of Jan. began with a patrol stop in the community of Arcola.

The driver was suspected of being under the influence, and following a failed roadside test, was taken to the detachment for a breath test.

The sample was found to be at exactly 0.8, so a 24-hour suspension was issued.

A 44-year-old male was issued a citation in the amount of $280 for driving while using a cell phone.

A 911 call drew members to Redvers to a residence where a dispute between two parties had escalated.

Members removed one party from the area.

A call was received informing members that a person, dressed in dark clothing, had been walking on the roadside against traffic on highway 9.

Responding members were unable to find the individual.

A complaint was made of shoplifting from a business in Carlyle, and investigations into the complaint are ongoing.

A request was received for members to include in patrols a property where the owner was concerned that mischief may be carried out on his house.

A call reported a sighting of a suspicious person who was seen entering a section of land carrying a rifle.

Responding members had been unable to locate the individual, and SERM was informed to keep an eye out for possible poaching.

A caller from Carlyle contacted police to report a fraud committed against them by someone who had arrived to provide labour.

The caller, concerned about the individual victimizing others, requested members open a file on the individual.

The investigation is ongoing.

Jan. 30 calls began with a 911 call reporting a person holding a knife at a community function in the area of Arcola.

Responding members did locate three intoxicated individuals who proved to be unruly, and housed the three overnight in cells.

One of the three proved to have an outstanding warrant, which was then served.

A call was made to report a series of prank phone calls that had targeted the caller over the preceding months.

An investigation into the matter is underway.

An intoxicated male was taken into custody at a dance in Arcola.

The person was held until sober than released without charge.

A call reported a single-vehicle MVA in the vicinity of Redvers.

Members, tied up at other calls, could not respond for 45 minutes, and when a patrol did arrive, the driver had left the scene.

Jan. 31 started with a call of a hit-and-run in the community of Arcola.

The caller said that they suspected the impact occurred in the area of Wawota.

A call drew members to a residence in the area where two individuals were intoxicated and refusing to leave the premises.

Responding members removed the offending parties, and transported them to another home.

Members responded to what turned out to be a false alarm at a school.

A complaint of theft was lodged by a business which saw several road signs it owned go missing.

An investigation is looking into the matter.

Members were summoned to a store in Carlyle after a family dispute became loud.

Arriving at the scene, it was found that one of the parties had left the store, and members were unable to locate them.

Feb. 1, members investigated a call detailing a report of uttering threats.

Responding members found four individuals and managed to calm the situation.

A complaint of an intoxicated driver led to charges being filed against said driver for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, as well as exceeding 0.8 blood level.

Members received a request to open a file on an internet trespass from an organization in Carlyle.

A report of a vehicle fire drew members to an area near Arcola.

While initially unable to locate the source of the fire, members were eventually able to find that the vehicle had been under the care of a volunteer fireman at the time, and that volunteer had stopped the fire and towed the vehicle.

A call reporting a hit-and-run from the year previous began the calls for Feb. 2.

Due to the length of time since the impact occurred, members were unable to investigate.

A hit-and-run was reported from a highway where a driver had sideswiped another vehicle.

A traffic stop near Carlyle led a to a 19-year-old being issued a ticket in the amount of $360 for having an open container of liquor in the front of the vehicle.

Members were informed by a 911 call of a house fire in the area.

A call was received for members to assist with an injured moose found near Arcola.

The attending members found the moose and dispatched it.

Feb. 3 calls began with a report of an aggressive dog being off its leash in the community of Kisbey.

The owner was contacted and issued a verbal warning.

A single-vehicle MVA was reported in the Wachope area. The caller, who identified themselves as the driver, indicated that they had since walked home from the accident.

There were no injuries and no charges were laid.

A call reported a suspicious person near an area of seasonal cabins.

Members responded, but were unable to find the individual or any evidence that any of the properties had been entered illegally.

A single call was logged for Feb. 4. reporting a MVA west of Arcola.

There were no injuries, and no charges have been laid.
