RCMP report: Aug. 30 to Sept. 5

For the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5 the RCMP were involved with a total of 57 calls. 911 Calls A total of six 911 calls were received by members. At Kenosee Lake there was a report of a fight at a bar.

For the week of Aug. 30 to Sept. 5 the RCMP were involved with a total of 57 calls.

911 Calls

A total of six 911 calls were received by members. At Kenosee Lake there was a report of a fight at a bar. Members attended, but were the individuals were gone when the RCMP arrived.

An erratic driver was reported north of Carlyle. The driver of the vehicle was not located and no plate number was obtained from the complainant.

In Carlyle members responded to people fighting. Upon RCMP arrival the fight was broken up and no one involved wished to press charges.

In the Carlyle area there was an individual causing problems at a house, but they had left prior to police arrival.

RCMP responded to a call originating in Redvers where there had been an argument in a residence. The parties involved were seperated for the night.

An intoxicated person was causing a disturbance in a residence within the Carlyle area. The individual left when the police arrived.

Abandoned Vehicle

A vehicle was reported as being left near Kenosee. The owner was contacted and moved the vehicle later that day.

Animal Calls

In Kisbey there was a report of dogs running at large.

A complaint of animals left in a vehicle in Carlyle was inspected. Members found that the animals were in no danger as the owner was present.

Reports of a dog being shot in the Carlyle area were reported. This matter is currently under investigation.

Assault

There was an assault in the Carlyle area. RCMP attended, but the people involved didn't want charges to be laid.

There was a complaint of an assault occuring in the Kisbey area, but it was discovered to be an argument.

Assistance

RCMP assisted the Moose Jaw Police Service in executing a warrant.

A complaint regarding the parking along Hwy 9 at the Red Market Barn was looked into.

Assistance was given during a child custody disagreement in Redvers. The parties involved were advised that the matter was a civil process.

Members assisted an individual who was retrieving their personal belongings from a residence, which they had been kicked out of.

A request to locate an individual in the Carlyle area who was intoxicated and had run off was called in. The individual returned safely an hour later.

In Redvers a suspicious person was reported. Members arrived at the location, but were unable to find the person of interest.

Breach of the Peace

In the Carlyle area individuals were found to be very intoxicated prompting RCMP to lodge the persons in cells until they were sober. No charges were laid.

Breach of Probation

A report of an individual breaching their probation terms was reported in the Carlyle area. Upon inspection RCMP determined this was not the case.

Disturbing the Peace

A call to the Kisbey area was attended when complainants called to report a disturbance. No charges were laid.

False Alarms

Two false alarms were to the same business in Redvers. RCMP is unsure what set the alarm off both times, but the building was found to be secure.

RCMP responded to a business alarm at Kenosee Lake which was determined to be false following members securing the building.

Fires

A house fire in Wawota was responded to. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.

There was a vehicle fire, which occurred in Manor. This matter remains under investigation as the cause is unknown.

Mischief

Reports of a vehicle having been damaged were reported to RCMP. The matter is under investigation.

Individuals in Moose Mountain Provincial Park were yelling and screaming at the front desk. They were heavily intoxicated and members took them to cells where they were held until sober.

RCMP were called to assist a homeowner in removing someone from their house in Carlyle.

In Wawota vandalism was done to the R.M. Shop where wires were cut and an oil cap was taken from a portable fuel tank.

Theft

Theft of 200 gallons of gas was reported near Redvers.

Traffic infractions

A possible impaired driver was reported on Hwy 9. Patrols were made, but the vehicle was not located.

A vehicle was reported as being driven without trailer lights, but RCMP were unable to locate the vehicle.

A complainant called to report a semi driver who was all over the road. Members made patrols, but couldn't find the vehicle.

Near Carlyle on Hwy 9 a couch was found in the middle of the road, it was later moved to the ditch, and finally it disappeared from the area.

A report of a possible impaired driver near Kenosee was reported. Patrols were made but the vehicle was not located.

There was a semi truck reported for driving dangerously. RCMP searched for the vehicle, but were unable to find it.

Vehicle collisions

A vehicle at the Bear Claw Casino was involved in a hit and run. This matter is being followed up and members are hopeful the video of the parking lot will provide assistance.

Near Redvers on Hwy 13 a single vehicle collision took place. The individual driving was taken by ambulance to the Arcola hospital with non-life threatening wounds. Alcohol is not believed to have been involved and charges are pending.

Uttering threats

A complaint from Kenosee Lake was received by members concerning the utterance of threats. The incident was reported for informational purposes and did not want charges to be laid.
