REGINA - Amanda Fluter and Micheal Larwood of Regina are $100,000 wealthier thanks to the Extra they added to their ticket for the March 4 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The pair purchased their ticket from Mobil at 3958 Albert St. in Regina the day before the draw. They won by matching the last six digits of the winning Extra number – 5616527.

“I scanned the ticket on my lunch break,” Larwood explained. "I was so excited and wanted to tell Amanda, so I sent her a text message.”

“I responded ‘Haha’ because I didn’t believe him,” Fluter recalled as they claimed their prize. “I thought he was joking!”

Larwood said he went back to scan the ticket and sent Fluter a photo to confirm he was serious – although both said they were having a hard time believing what they were seeing.

The happy pair have a couple ideas in mind for their windfall.

“We’re going to go on a trip. We haven’t gone anywhere since COVID so we are planning to go to Hawaii next winter,” explained Larwood.
