Lottery winner Maria Treso said she was surprised to see the extra zero on her $10,000 lottery ticket win.

REGINA — When Maria Treso checked her Western649 ticket, she thought she won $10,000 on the Dec. 15 EXTRA draw. Turns out, she actually won $100,000!

“I was happy when I thought I won $10,000,” she said. “When I realized it was actually a $100,000 win, I said, ‘Well, that changes things!’”

“I was ecstatic,” she continued. “It’s so exciting!”

The winner said she hasn’t made any big plans for her winnings yet, but knows she will share some of the money with those closest to her.

“I’m going to share some, save some and maybe spend a little on myself at some point too,” she said.

Treso purchased her winning ticket from Truesdale Shell, located at 3165 Truesdale Dr. in Regina. She won her $100,000 prize by matching the last six digits of the Extra number on the Dec.15 draw – 1246218.
