Sanctions lifted

All job sanctions initiated by the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation (STF) were suspended on June 1 in school divisions across the province.

All job sanctions initiated by the Saskatchewan Teachers' Federation (STF) were suspended on June 1 in school divisions across the province.

This move means teachers will go back to performing voluntary duties related to school while the STF and the school board-government bargaining committee work toward a collective agreement. Those duties considered voluntary include extracurricular activities such as coaching sports or leading drama productions, and organizing graduations.

The resumption of any provincially-sanctioned athletics competitions will be determined through the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletics Association.
