The Southeast Cornerstone School Division is making plans for the Weyburn Comprehensive School and the new Pangman Daycare.
With renovations expected to begin soon at the Weyburn Comprehensive School, the school has requested to have an altered school year so the students and staff are not in the facility in June when construction begins. The School Board gave its approval in principle for the altered 2011-12 school year. Semester one will be completed in December, 2011 and Semester two will end near the beginning of June, 2012.
The Board approved a contract worth $476,243 to have CCR Construction work on the foundation at Pangman School, as two portable classrooms are being installed for the new Pangman Daycare. Along with the work on the foundation, water and wiring systems would need to be relocated before the portables are installed.
The date for the annual meeting of electors has been moved to Thursday, February 17, 2011, which will coincide with the regular Board meeting for that month.
