The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 64 calls in the seven days spanning Friday, March 30, and Thursday, April 5. The first call of the day for March 30 saw members attending a residence in the area to remove an unwanted person.

The Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to a total of 64 calls in the seven days spanning Friday, March 30, and Thursday, April 5.

The first call of the day for March 30 saw members attending a residence in the area to remove an unwanted person.

The individual, a 20-year-old male, was found on the premises in a state of intoxication, and was taken to cells.

The male was charged under local bylaws regarding drunkenness, as well as a breach of undertaking.

A 33-year-old woman is facing bylaw charges regarding public drunkenness after members responded to a request to remove an unwanted person from a home in the area.

An alarm drew members to a business in the community of Carlyle.

Following a patrol of the premises the alarm proved to be false.

A 911 hang-up call was received.

Investigating the source of the call, it was found that children had been playing with a phone, and had dialled the number.

Members responded to a request for assistance regarding a child custody dispute.

Members attended, and provided recommendations for the individual.

Members set out on patrol following a request from a caller for assistance in locating a 12-year-old girl who had gone missing.

While looking for the girl, members were contacted again by family members to inform them that the girl had been found.

A multiple stabbing has a 40-year-old woman facing two charges of aggravated assault.

The call, initially reporting the stabbing of a 56-year-old woman, drew members to a residence in the area where they discovered a second stabbing victim.

Both victims were transported to hospital for care.

The suspect was apprehended at the scene, and was remanded into custody, where they now await trial.

A complaint of bullying from the Kisbey area is currently under investigation.

An alarm call proved to be false after members, while preparing to head to the business in Carlyle where the alarm originated, were contacted by the alarm company.

The service, which had employees on scene working on the alarm, reported that the alarm had been tripped inadvertently during servicing.

Members are investigating a report of telephone harassment from Redvers.

The complainant detailed in the report that an individual, who had been in a relationship with the complainant some time earlier, was phoning and texting in a manner they deemed as harassing.

The matter continues to be investigated.

Members responded to a report of threats being uttered in Pheasant Rump.

When members arrived at the residence, the complainant informed members that the suspect had left the premises in a vehicle.

Statements were taken from the complainant, and charges related to the event are now pending against a 43-year-old female.

Concerned family members contacted the detachment with a request for members to check on the disposition of an individual who had been out of contact for some time.

Members attended the home of the individual in question, who reported that they had mislaid their cell phone, and all was well.

The family was contacted and so informed.

Calls for the 31st began with a complaint of an erratic driver on Highway 13 near Redvers.

The suspect vehicle was reported heading east past the city.

The Pipestone, MB, detachment was contacted with the information.

Members attended a residence following a call of an unwanted person.

Arriving at the scene, members found a 19-year-old female in a state of intoxication.

The female left the premises following speaking with police and the case is considered closed.

A complaint was received about a party at a home in the area.

Members attended, and discovered no criminal activities ongoing.

The case is considered closed.

A report of an intoxicated individual drew members to a business in Carlyle.

The individual was located, and informed police that they were waiting for a friend to come and pick them up.

While police were on scene, the friend arrived, and the individual left peacefully.

A report was received from a person who found a coat and a ratchet-strap in their vehicle.

Nothing was missing from the vehicle, and members are looking to find who the items belong to.

The report originated from the community of Arcola.

An anonymous caller reported a white van travelling at high speeds on Highway 9.

The vehicle was not located.

On April 1, the first call of the day was regarding a reported assault.

Members attended the residence of the complainant and found a 19-year-old male in a state of intoxication.

The male was transported to hospital for treatment of a cut, and people on scene asked for no charges to be laid.

The matter is considered closed.

A 911 call was received complaining of a blue and white Blazer speeding and swerving on Highway 13.

Patrols were made but the vehicle was not located.

A 911 call was received regarding a grass fire.

Members and Carlyle fire services attended and doused the blaze.

No buildings were damaged by the fire.

A false alarm was received from a business in Kenosee Lake.

Members attended, as did the property keyholder, and all proved to be well.

Calls on the 2nd began with a false alarm from a business in Kenosee Lake.

A 911 call was received reporting a grass fire in the area.

Members attended, however the fire had been brought under control by the time members arrived.

A report was received regarding a deer-vehicle MVA on Highway 9.

The vehicle was not driveable following the collision.

Members called in support from the RCMP ERT (Emergency Response Team,) to support a search and arrest of two individuals.

The event ended following a multi-hour stand-off at a residence with ERT performing a dynamic entry.

A total of 19 stolen firearms were recovered during the event, and the two individuals face several firearms and break-and-enter charges.

A report of a vehicle driving erratically drew members to patrol on Highway 9 south of Carlyle.

The suspect vehicle was discovered, and following an interview of the driver, issued a warning regarding maintaining control of the vehicle.

The case is considered closed.

Members provided information to individuals following a report of theft.

The issue, which revolved around property of an estate, was found to be between family members.

Members attended the scene of an accident that, on first report, seemed to be a train/car MVA on Highway 9 at Carlyle.

Arriving, members discovered that the driver had hit the ditch, and no contact had occurred with the vehicle.

The driver is now facing charges of driving without due care and attention.

Members assisted Saskatoon Police Services in serving a warrant to a 56-year-old male in Carlyle.

Calls for April 3 began with members taking a 47-year-old male into custody.

The individual had been reported by a complainant to be sitting in the middle of a west-bound lane of a road in the Redvers area.

Responding officers discovered the individual in a state of intoxication, and brought the suspect to the detachment for the night.

The individual was released later when sober, however they were also issued a ticket in the amount of $200 for the offence.

Members responded to a complaint from the town of Redvers regarding three individuals attempting to vandalize property.

Members arrived at the scene and spoke with the complainant, but were unable to locate the suspects.

No damage to property could be found.

Members responded to a false alarm at a residence in Carlyle.

When first reported the alarm showed both a fire alarm, as well as a duress alarm.

Arriving at the home, members found all was well, and the alarm was set off by burnt food.

A report was received of a truck driving past a line of five school buses in Arcola, all with their no-passing signs out.

Police are investigating the report.

April 4th began with members responding to a call for assistance from the Co-op store in Carlyle.

Responding members discovered three males, ages 49-, 38-, and 38-years-old, all in an extreme state of intoxication.

Following a brief encounter with the individuals, all three were taken into custody, and face charges related to public drunkenness.

In custody, one of the individuals was found to be in violation of an undertaking.

Members provided assistance to Regina Police Services by issuing a warrant to an individual.

Members sought assistance from a forensics specialist following a report of remains found.

The report, which originated near Kenosee Lake, was regarding a number of large bones found near a saddle.

Following forensic examination, it was determined that the bones did not originate from a human.

The detachment was contacted by an individual reporting a fire in Wawota.

The fire, which immolated a side-by-side ATV, was attended by Wawota fire services, and did not damage any other property.

Members attended the scene of what turned out to be a sudden death.

The coroner was contacted, and took over the case.

A 911 call started the day on April 5, with members responding to a home in the area.

The police discovered two individuals in a disagreement.

One of the parties was removed from the premises, and the matter is now considered closed.

A report of a semi-truck losing a load onto a road drew members to an accident scene.

When they arrived, they found the trailer's load was still secure, and the driver awaiting a tow from a grader.

A report was received by an individual reporting an attempted fraud.

The caller reported that they had received a telephone call from a person claiming to represent The Brick chain of stores, and that the caller owed $5,000 to the business.

When the caller refuted the charge, claiming they had never done business with The Brick, the person produced the callers Social Insurance Number (SIN) as evidence.

The caller has since contacted their financial services to ensure no improper activity was taking place with their accounts.

Members responded to a report of two gunshots in the area.

Arriving at the area where the shots were reported from, an individual approached police, and informed them the sound was fireworks.

They showed members the spent fireworks cases to prove their claim.

The matter is considered closed.

A single-vehicle MVA drew members to a stretch of Highway 9 where the vehicle had overturned into a ditch.

Investigating the scene, members issued a fine in the amount of $150 to the driver for driving with no valid license.

No one was injured in the collision.
