The Weyburn Chamber of Commerce has announced the All-Candidates Forum for the riding of Souris Moose Mountain will be held on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 7 to 9 p.m. for the federal election. The event will be held at the Ramada Hotel at 1420 Sims Ave SW in Weyburn.

“Once again the Chamber is pleased to have the opportunity to host the forum for all candidates in this federal election,” said Executive Director, Larry Heggs. “The format of the event will allow questions from both Chamber of Commerce members and the general public in attendance.”

The Chamber’s purpose in providing this forum is to facilitate a respectful dialogue between candidates and those in attendance. This is not considered an atmosphere for debate.

Candidates will not be given an opportunity to debate issues with their fellow candidates or those in attendance. They will be simply responding to the questions posed to them within a given time frame.

Each candidate will have a brief opportunity to introduce his or herself at the start of the forum as well as provide concluding remarks at the end of the event. The event is open to the public.

If anyone is unable to attend the live forum, they can watch the All Candidates Forum on either AccessNow TV or the AccessNow TV app on the following dates: Saturday, Sept. 11 at 1 p.m.; Wednesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m., or Saturday, Sept. 18 at 1 p.m.
