Want to win some free tickets to the playoffs at the 2012 Brier in Saskatoon, including the gold medal game? Then plan to come out and watch some curling on March 2 and 3. Weyburn Comprehensive School, along with the Weyburn Curling Club, is hosting the boys and girls provincial Saskatchewan High School Athletics Association curling championship. Spectators who attend will be put into a draw for 2 sets of tickets compliments of the Brier host committee. Admission is $6.00 per day.
On the February 10 weekend the cheer squad was in competitions in Moose Jaw and Regina and came home with a first and a second place trophy.
Plans are well underway for 226 students and chaperones to go on their spring music trip over Easter to Denver.
A casting call will take place this week for all students interested in parts in the up-coming musical 'Oklahoma'. The annual Rotary pre-view dinner theatre will take place on April 27 with public performances on April 29, May 2, 4 and 5. The customary days of Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday have being re-arranged. Tickets will go on sale in early April.
