The City of Weyburn had a near-record year for construction activity and value in 2013, with some records set for planning activity of the city's Planning and Development Department, according to the year-end statistics for city building permits.

Weyburn police investigate 'grandparent' scam in city

Over the past week the Weyburn Police Service has received complaints of telephone scams. In particular one is the "grandparent" scam where a supposed grandchild has run afoul of the law and needs money.

Restriction for traffic on Queen

Weyburn city council has moved to restrict any vehicle hauling a trailer from travelling south on Queen Street from Highway 13 to Highway 39, to prevent further accidents from occurring at the CP railway crossing near Highway 39.
