The Estevan Mermaids synchronized swimming team kicked off their season in Moose Jaw on the weekend, attending the Synchro Saskatchewan development camp and competing at the Marnie Eistetter Figure Meet on Saturday and Sunday.

In their first match of the season, the Weyburn Red Wings defeated the Estevan Bruins 4-1 on home ice November 11. The Remembrance Day game saw Ty McLean bank the first goal for the Wings from Brian Farkas and Josh Lees in the second period.

Atom Cougars win

The Carlyle Cougars Atom coached by Brian Hagel earned their first win this season. On Saturday November 9th, Arcola Combines were in town for a regular season league game. The Cougars came out strong and dominated with a 15-2 win.
