It is now a legitimate question: "What's wrong with the Saskatchewan Roughriders?" We've heard it, at times, over the course of the summer of 2012 but it never seemed like there was too much wrong with the Green & White.

The first annual All Star Game for the Saskota Baseball League was held on Saturday, Aug. 18, at Kenosee. It was a 9 inning game that was supposed to see three top players of each team play.

The Carlyle Golf Club has held a Junior Tournament for at least a decade. This year's tournament was held on Aug. 15. Dedicated youth, 18-and-under, bundled up to partake in the day.

The Estevan Motor Speedway will have their championship night on Saturday, August 25. There will be also a regular race on Friday, August 24. There was a race at the Estevan Motor Speedway on August 10.

The Weyburn Beavers will bring back Dan Grant as their head coach next summer. Grant took over the head coach position after Angelo Nicolosi was fired in early July.

It was a tough start to the season for the Estevan Century 21 Chargers, as the peewee football club was shut out 48-0 by the Regina Riders in their season opener Saturday in Regina.

The Volunteer committee for the Carlyle swimming pool held their 3rd Annual Golf Tournament on Aug.11, raising $23,000 to help fund the pools recent construction and remodeling.

After a light rain Saturday night the Moose Mountain Marathon was up bright and early on Sunday, Aug. 12, ready to run. The fourth annual event included participants from across Canada and it was the first year for an international runner to attend.
