The Eagle Drilling Estevan Bruins hockey club has announced they have relieved head coach and general manager Karry Biette of his duties. Bruins' president Jeff Pierson asked Biette for his resignation earlier today.

The 2011 Western Major Baseball League schedule has been released. The Weyburn Beavers will open the 2011 regular season on the road with a game in Melville on Friday, June 3.

Bantam Cougars update

On Dec.8th the Bantam Cougars played host to the Carnduff Red Devils. Carlyle came out strong in the first period when Evan Anderson put the puck on Brett Turgeon's stick to score one minute into the game.

Dec18th &19th 2010 Busy weekend at the rink for the Novice Cougars again, Saturday the boys would face off against the Redvers A team. The fans were treated to a fast paced, nail biter of a game.

Riders hang on to McCullough

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced the signing of a new linebacker. Non-import linebacker Mike McCullough was signed to a new contract on December 22. Financial details of the signing were not released.

Special guests at annual Sports Dinner

The Weyburn Red Wings are hosting three special guests in the New Year. The Wings will be holding their ninth annual Sports Dinner and Auction on Saturday, January 22 at McKenna Hall.
