After a four week top 30 selection camp held in Toronto in July, Russell Lenferna has been selected to the 17U Canadian Men's National Water Polo Team.

Canada's National Men's Summer Under-18 Team will head to Europe with one of Weyburn's own among them.

Ben Johnstone, son of Larry and Deb of Carlyle, has been signed to the Estevan Bruins. Born in 1993, Johnstone who plays centre and right wing has been playing hockey for the past 15 years.
