Assiniboia RCMP are concerned about theft of fuel in town

The Assiniboia RCMP requested the public's assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for the theft of fuel occurring in Assiniboia on or about August 21, 2020.

Provincial bear hunt began on August 25 with extra licence

Saskatchewan’s provincial government announced the fall bear hunt began on August 25 for residents in the province. The bear hunt is open to all hunters wishing to take part with the purchase of a licence.

COVID-19 Update: one death, no new cases, four in hospital and eight more recoveries

There were no new cases of COVID-19 to report in Saskatchewan on August 25. One case found to be an out-of-province resident was removed from the Saskatchewan count, bringing the total to 1,601 reported cases. One more person with COVID-19 has died.

The Thompson Lake Golf Course held their Seniors Tournament on Thursday, August 20. Denise Bissonnette won the Ladies Tournament. Bob Bissonnette won the Masters. Craig Benson was victorious in the Seniors Tournament.

Saskatchewan RCMP seize 6 kilograms of suspected cocaine near Wynyard

On Monday, August 24 at around 9:00 p.m. officers from the Saskatchewan RCMP’s Traffic Services Unit were working in the Wynyard area on Highway 16.

Missing man from Swift Current reported

The Swift Current Municipal RCMP asked for the public’s assistance in locating 28-year-old Denny Ristine, last seen on August 16, 2020 in Swift Current. Denny’s family have been unable to contact him and have reported Ristine as missing.
