As of 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18 all Southeast College test centres will be closed. As of 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 19, all industry, safety, continuing education, business management essentials and management essentials are suspended.

Finance Minister Donna Harpauer presented the province’s budget estimates on Wednesday, March 18 in lieu of a full budget. It showed a 3.1 per cent increase to spending and a 3.8 per cent raise for health services.

The Assiniboia and District Arts Council announced on March 19 that due to the recent spread of COVID-19, some of their upcoming events have either been cancelled or postponed.

An international emergency has been declared. Coronavirus cases are rising. The likelihood of anyone getting exposed to COVID-19 is increasing. Everyone should know what to do if they get exposed and have to self-quarantine.

The Assiniboia RCMP request the public’s assistance in locating the person(s) responsible for a theft over $5,000 that happened near the town of Limerick.

The safety of this community is of utmost importance to the Town of Assiniboia.

Based on recommendations from government and public health officials on the COVID-19 pandemic, SIGA’s leadership has made the decision to temporarily suspend all SIGA operations for the next two weeks, at which time they will re-assess the situation.

All Western Development Museum locations in Moose Jaw, North Battleford, Saskatoon and Yorkton are closed to the public effective Tuesday, March 17 due to the COVID-19 virus.

Southeast College released a class cancellation update effective on Sunday, March 15, 2020. All classes will be adjourned for the week of March 16-20 for Adult Basic Education in Piapot Valley, located on Piapot First Nation.
