It is with saddened hearts that we wish to announce the peaceful passing of Minnie Dube on March 22 at Moose Mountain Lodge, Carlyle, SK. She was born to William and Agnes Rutten in the Wordsworth area on January 21, 1921.

A very outgoing and enthusiastic young man in grade 11, Bjorn Rekken, has been accepted to participate in the Oriole Youth Advantage Challenge 2013. He will spend four nights on the HMCS Oriole and experiencing life aboard a navy vessel.

Every year the province of Saskatchewan awards a select few residents the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal. This medal is given to recognize exceptional volunteerism by individuals who give back to their community.

"My background is in design, decorating and photography, among other creative skills. Even as a child I didn't know what kind of an artist I would be but I knew I would be an artist.

Sun Country Health Region has recently spoken about healthcare in Redvers recently regarding their plans for the imminent future.

Record snowfalls have been reported in many areas throughout Manitoba and Saskatchewan and for at least one business all this snow simply means great conditions.

A news report stated that this winter has broken records for snowfall. This winter in Saskatchewan has had substantially more snow than what has been usual.

On March 24 at 2 p.m. people flocked to the Carlyle Sports Arena where the skating club was holding their annual carnival. This year the theme was, "Let's go to the movies," and was greeted with much enthusiasm from the crowd.

On Wednesday, March 20, Saskatchewan Finance Minister Ken Krawetz presented the provincial budget.
