MCCONNELL, William James (Buff) Buff was born on November 10, 1957 in Arcola, Saskatchewan. Buff lived all of his life in Carlyle. He worked at the Bulk Fuel Station in Carlyle and Manor for a number of years. Then he went to work for I.C.G. Gas.

Between Feb. 8 and Feb. 14 the Carlyle detachment of the RCMP received 38 calls. On Feb. 8 RCMP were called to attend a collision west of Redvers on Highway 13. There were no injuries.

Wawota to hold Relay for Life

For the first time ever the town of Wawota will be hosting Relay for Life. The event is planned for June 15; but, an informational evening will be held on March 4 for the town of Wawota and surrounding communities to learn more.

Local youth set to attend We Day

For the first time since its inception in 2007, We Day will be held in Saskatchewan. It is being hosted on Feb. 27 in Saskatoon at the Credit Union Centre. Expected to attend are 15,000 students and teachers from 300 schools across the province.
