Between Jan. 11 and Jan. 17 the Carlyle Detachment of the RCMP responded to 43 calls for service. On Jan. 11 there was a panic alarm at a residence in Arcola.

The Cougars Novice 8 and Under Team played two league games this past weekend, winning both. The kids displayed great heart and awesome teamwork, with everyone contributing with hard work and excellent effort.

In memory of Keegan Robert Third who passed away on Nov. 18, 2012, at the age of 24, a donation was made to the Carlyle Sports Arena by Quest Line Locators LTD in Estevan.

On Jan. 19 Carlyle held its Minor Hockey Day in Saskatchewan.

GRIFFITH, Gregory Price (Air Canada Pilot). Passed away suddenly in Caledon East, Ontario, on December 2, 2012 at the age of 52.
