Dickens Village Festival is fast approaching. It will be held on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. Decorations all around town have begun to be put up and judging for decorations will be held on Nov. 28 between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.

The Atom team had a great two games this weekend and one loss. The kids had a tournament in Estevan. There were three games they played. The first game they played was against an Estevan team. The kids won 10-6.

The Carlyle Cougars Novice 8 & Under team, played two games last week. They hosted Redvers, on Saturday, November 24 and visited Bienfait on Sunday, November 25. On Saturday, versus Redvers our team played hard.

More than just a sport
Last weekend I attended the SHSAA senior boy's volleyball provincial championship in Arcola. Although I knew little about the sport, I was still able to appreciate its fast pace and intensity.
