Registration has begun for six-week dog training course run by Andrea McEwen of Just Fur Paws Grooming. Beginning Sept.26 at the Legion Hall in Carlyle the course is being offered once a week for an hour session.

School has resumed and students are back to class and back to extra-curricular activities. Intramurals are taking place every lunch hour. The Cross Country Team will be running in the hills 2-3 days a week after schools.

More day care requirements discussed

Carlyle Town Council meeting was held. Sept 5. The news from that meeting is as follows. The town plans on doubling up the hanging planters on Main Street next year. The only concern with this is the planters are already very difficult to water.

Hay shows country may work after all

It wasn't the biggest news story you read last week nor was it the most political. But it was a nice story ... and nice reminder that this country still works. And it comes along a time when some of us may be beginning to harbour other thoughts.
