Starting throughout the province on Oct. 11, flu clinics were well under way and future clinics mark the calendars of all health regions.

The other day I attended a meeting with an agricultural theme, and is often the case had some discussions on industry issues before the event actually started.

Last week I received a copy of a publication in which one of my weekly articles appeared.

The event was a success. There was no doubt about it. People filled grandstand after grandstand. Children sat attentively with their eyes glued to the race track. Engines roared, dust flew and cameras flashed.

Arcola School raised $3,322.25 for the Terry Fox Foundation when the school participated in its annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 28. With more money coming in daily, it is obvious that the 31st year for the event was a real success.

The world changed for one precious little girl on Sept. 14. But a community came together for her soon after. Five-year-old Gwen Kleyh was diagnosed with leukemia just days after her first day of Kindergarten.

Carlyle Elementary School held their annual Terry Fox Run on Sept. 28. Students, staff, and community members took to the route on a day filled with warmth and fall beauty.

By the time you read this, you will be in the midst of one of the most predictable Saskatchewan election campaigns in history. Although Premier Brad Wall has not yet gone to see Lt.-Gov.

The Lions year runs from July 1st to June 31st but the Carlyle Club does not meet for the first two months because people are at their cottages, travelling, golfing, fishing, gardening or attending to any number of other pleasurable 'fun in the sun'

On Tuesday, October 25th, and Wednesday, October 26th, the Student Led Conferences (taking the place of Parent/Teacher Interviews) will be taking place from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at GFK School.
