The eighth annual Dickens Village Festival proved to be a record breaker, according to numbers that have been complied over the past week. Visitors alone topped the numbers seen in 2008 and 2009.

On Nov. 21st, 2010 the Carlyle 10 & unders headed to Arcola for their first matchup. A great game was expected and the fans were not disappointed. Arcola came out strong in the first and the Cougars found themselves down by 3 going into the second.

Pee Wee Cougars take B side in Kipling tournament
The Pee Wee Cougars played in the Kipling Tournament on Saturday, Dec. 11. Despite the cold, the Cougars were hot, and ended up winning the B Side Final. The first game of the day was a thriller against Whitewood that ended up in a shootout.

Looking back to one-year-ago, Arcola was battling through the temporary loss of its emergency and in-patient services at the hospital. There were no doctors working in the community - no one to tend to emergencies and no one to tend to patients.
