The temperatures this past weekend were frigid, but that didn’t keep people from enjoying the outdoors at Kenosee Lake. Snowmobiling was a particularly popular activity, as people dressed warm enjoyed the beautiful scenery.

The Envision Counselling and Support Centre has announced it is extending a program that has proven to be valuable to seniors and others during the pandemic.

There is no school on Jan. 29. The new semester for Grades 10-12 begins on Feb. 1. A new reporting system called EDSBY has been rolled out for parents to use. Its purpose is to improve electronic communication between school and home.

Carlyle Town Council had their second meeting of 2021 on Jan. 20. The council all agreed to allow the displaying of grad banners along Main Street to support the 2021 graduating class from the Gordon F. Kells High School.

Here it is, another month of this new year gone, and where it went I'm not sure. Things are much the same around here. We all are very thankful to be inside through the blizzards and colder temperatures.
