It's pretty hard to find much news as we are on lockdown still. Only staff is allowed in but they are doing little things to keep us busy. We had a wonderful Christmas sing-along with Judy Skiba at piano.

Greetings everyone. With all these new COVID rules, it is hard to keep up with the dos and don’ts. This year is proving to be a very trying and hard year and one we won’t soon forget.

Merry Christmas to all of you who will be celebrating a very different Christmas this year. We all wish things could be different — and by different, we generally mean the same as we always had it.

Going into to Moonlit Cannabis to congratulate Shane and Ashley Valentine on their new business venture in Carlyle was a no-brainer. Studying the difference between CBD and THC happened after the visit.

Paris may be regarded as the world’s fashion capital, but a couple of weeks ago Kipling’s Grade 9 French Class, taught by Mrs. Monica Olson, held the title as they hosted their own fashion show right in school.

Christmas concerts may not have been put on as usual this year due to COVID-19 but students and teachers still made a fantastic effort to go ahead and rehearse and dress the part for the parents to be able to watch the recorded version.

The Christmas break begins Dec. 19. Students return to school on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021. Have a safe and happy holidays! Thanks to all the students (and their families) who brought in non-perishable food items for the food bank fundraiser this year.

We are happy to have two of our residents return home this past week. Saundra Corkish who spent six or seven weeks in hospital after surgery and recuperation, arrived home earlier this month.
