A hockey player who hails from Lampman is taking the next step in his career. The Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL have announced that they have signed Edwin Hookenson to a standard player contract for the 2020-21 season.

The 22nd annual Ronald McDonald House Motorcycle Ride, organized by the Prairie Winds Motorcycle Group based out of Estevan, proved to be the best yet. A total of 130 people showed up and registered this year.

Nov. 11 is coming soon and the Legion members will once again be out canvassing for the Poppy Campaign. The official starting date is Oct. 25. Many people wonder what the money collected during the poppy campaign is used for.
