More than beauty inside us

Regardless of the time of year, Carlyle is a bustling community with plenty to offer residents and visitors alike. But during the summer months in particular, it’s an exciting place to be.

Estevan Mercury Carlyle has given its residents lots of reasons to be proud of where they live, and the town’s business community is one source of pride. One of the long-standing businesses is King’s Department Store, located on Main Street.

Forty-seven years have passed since the Prairie Lore and Living Society’s dream came to fruition in the form of Saskairie. They wanted to provide a place where both city and country kids could come and experience nature at its best.

On July 5,6, and 7 the White Bear First Nations welcomed dancers from all over Canada and the US. Pow wows are celebrations that showcase the peoples’ music, dances, regalia, food and crafts.

Students at Carlyle Elementary School were excited to pose for photos in front of new playground equipment donated from community members and groups. Moose Mountain Soccer donated soccer nets for both playgrounds.
