The members of the Bits & Pieces Quilt and Craft Club were on a mission, Monday, April 16.

Carlyle Town Council held their regular bi-weekly meeting Wednesday, April 18 at the Carlyle Civic Centre. Council's next regularly-scheduled meeting will take place at 7 p.m., Wednesday, April 18 at the Civic Centre.

A number of years ago I purchased a CD by a group called Freedom Singers; I’ve never stopped listening to or being blessed by, their music.

Since 2006, OneChurch.ca has made mission trips to Mexico - two trips every two years. This year, members from the church's Carlyle and Redvers campuses - as well as others who were interested - joined in the journey for trips in February and March.

The Redvers and District Music Festival was hosted from Monday, April 16, to Friday, April 20. This is a feature in the community, which has been held for nearly 55 years – the first one being held in 1964 according to past president Leanne Poirier.

Badminton / Track and Field G.F. Kells students are busy practicing for badminton playoffs and the track and field season. With the warm weather, the track and field team will finally be able to do some practices outside.

A couple of weeks ago I received a phone call regarding my column in which I stated I sometimes choose not to vote. The caller was simply letting me know that there’s a way to vote in which you can “decline your ballot,” also known as a protest vote.
