There are some days when I simply don't have any answers. To those who know me best, that may seem highly improbable but it's true. And, I suspect, it applies to many of you as well.

Passing through Carlyle at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 26, was a super load, a metal pod – used in the oil industry within the refining and extraction section of oil sands operations – being transported from Oxbow to Whitewood.

Just around the corner Carlyle will be hosting numerous visitors as this year’s “Biggest Little Craft Show in Saskatchewan,” Homespun, will be held on Saturday, Sept. 19, and Sunday, Sept. 20, with new extended hours on the Saturday.

With youth back to school it is important for drivers to remember to be wary when driving through school zones. Obeying traffic signs is important for the safety of everyone.

The village of Kisbey will be celebrating Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 9 as The Queen becomes the longest reigning monarch in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth.

Carlyle will welcome a new business on Sept. 1 on Main Street; nestled between Michael’s Coffee Shop and the RIBC, Second Chance Thrift Store will open.

New School Year (Grade 7 Potluck) Students return to classes on Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2015. Hopefully summer was relaxing and students and staff are ready for the new school year.
