SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN - A blowing snow advisory was in effect for much of southern Saskatchewan on Thursday and into Friday.
The advisory covered Regina, Moose Jaw, Estevan, Weyburn, Carlyle, Assiniboia and other areas. It was lifted Friday morning in some areas, and it was finished by Friday afternoon in others. According to Environment Canada, very strong winds and poor visibility in blowing snow are expected Thursday night.
Northwest winds gusting up to 80 kilometres per hour are to combine with falling snow to cause poor visibility. Conditions will improve by Friday morning as winds weaken and snow tapers off.
Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
