ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service is investigating the report of a stolen semi truck and trailer unit.

According to the July 16 police report, it is believed the unit was taken between July 14 and 16. The matter remains under investigation. No further information was provided.

Also from the July 16 report, a three-vehicle collision on Kensington Avenue was handled by EPS members in the late afternoon. No injuries occurred as a result of the collision. One vehicle was not driveable and was towed from the scene.

During the nightshift, police arrested two drivers for drug impaired driving offences. Both were issued roadside driver's licence suspensions and their vehicles were impounded as a result.

A report was received of criminal harassment through text messaging. The matter remains under investigation.

The EPS received multiple reports of a male riding a quad around Roy Ludwig Churchill Park, near the bike paths and pool area. Members attended and located the individual, who is known to police, and based on their observations, attempted to arrest him on suspicions of impaired driving.

During the arrest, the male attempted to flee the scene on the quad, and police service dog Max was deployed to apprehend him. Max was unable to make adequate contact with the suspect and he left the area on the quad. Given the circumstances, EPS members did not pursue the vehicle and charges are pending against the driver, once he is located.
