ESTEVAN — The Estevan Police Service apprehended an impaired driver and investigated complaints in recent days.
The EPS received a report July 15 of a female passed out near the 7-11 on King Street. Members attended and determined that she had an accident on her bicycle. A family member attended the scene and transported her to St. Joseph's Hospital for assessment.
A suspicious vehicle was reported to be parked in a local business parking lot. Members contacted occupants of the vehicle and learned that another employee of the same business had permitted the vehicle to park there.
A traffic stop conducted to check for driver sobriety resulted in a female driver failing a roadside screening device test. She was issued a three-day driver's licence suspension due to her level of impairment and her vehicle was impounded.
EPS members attended to a noise complaint at a residence where yelling could be heard. Members attended, mediated the situation and no further issues were reported.
A complaint was received during the nightshift of multiple assaults involving the same victim and subject. The matter remains under investigation.
A suspicious person was reported to be observed in a backyard in south Estevan. Members attended and spoke with individuals located in the nearby areas. The matter remains under investigation.
The EPS received a report July 14 of a door appearing to have been kicked in at a residence on Valley Street. Members attended and determined that no such incident had occurred and the individual inside was allowed to be there.
A complaint was attended to regarding a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Hillside area. Nothing criminal had occurred and members mediated a temporary solution that resulted in one individual leaving for the night.
EPS members attended to a second domestic disturbance during the nightshift in which an intoxicated individual was causing problems with family members. The situation was mediated and no further concerns occurred during the rest of the night.
An alarm at a business in north Estevan was attended to by EPS members and was determined to be false. Nobody was present and no signs of forced entry were observed.
Multiple conditions checks were completed on individuals bound by court-ordered conditions. All individuals checked were found to be complying with their conditions.
EPS members assisted to keep the peace at a residence in the Pleasantdale area of Estevan while former spouses exchanged property. No issues occurred during the exchange.
