EPS members make arrests for breach, resisting arrest

Members of the Estevan Police Service made a couple of arrests July 30.

The EPS arrested an Estevan male for not following the terms of his conditional sentence order. He was taken to court and was remanded into custody until Aug. 6.

Police were called to a residence in south Estevan for a report of a possible domestic disturbance. Members attended and arrested a 41-year-old Estevan woman for breach of the peace and uttering threats. She was transported to the police station to be released with a court date in September.

The EPS was called to a motor vehicle collision in central Estevan on July 30. According to the EPS, one passenger sustained minor injuries and one of the vehicles was towed from the scene.

Members attended to a north-central Estevan residence on the report of a domestic disturbance. Officers assisted in mediating the situation without further issue.

Another domestic disturbance was reported in central Estevan, which resulted in the situation being resolved by members without further issue.

Police are investigating a report of a theft from a wallet that had accidentally been left in the washroom of a local convenience store. Members attended and video surveillance is being reviewed. That matter is under investigation.

A report of harassing communications was received. Police spoke with all parties involved and reminded them of proper etiquette when communicating via social media sites.

Police were called to central Estevan for a report of an unconscious woman lying in the grass. The 53-year-old woman was arrested and charged for public intoxication. She was transported to police cells and assessed by Estevan EMS.

A report came in July 29 of an intoxicated female in central Estevan. Members located the female, who was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and lodged in cells until sober.

Police received a report of a property dispute at a local residence. Members attended and determined it was a civil issue. One of the parties ended up leaving for the night.

Members attended to an east Estevan storage facility July 28 for a report of a disturbance between a number of people. All involved were spoken to upon police arrival, and no further incident occurred.

Police received a complaint July 27 regarding a vehicle that has been parked in the same place for two weeks. Members attended and spoke with the owner who moved the vehicle.

A report came in of a fraud on Facebook. The suspect was attempting to sell an item and listed an Estevan address. There is no person or item for sale at that address.

Police received a 911 hang-up call. Members were able to track down the address of the caller, attended and spoke to all parties involved.
